My New Natural Hair Journey

My New Natural Hair Journey

I’ve just returned from the Bahamas and guess what?! I don’t want locs anymore! Unfortunately, I’m not bold enough for the big chop and my hair is is not as luxurious as I would like… So for the last 5 months of 2014, I’ll be going through #hairrehab! I’ve put together a collection of some of my go-to products for hair growth and thickening. So, in addition to a daily multi-vitamin (containing many ingredients similar to that which is in @Hairfinity), following a weekly shampoo and condition, I’ll be following up with these products and tracking my progress for maximum hair growth and thickening to ease my transition from locs to fro. First, I’ll use ORS Scalp Scrub: you mix the solution with a tablespoon of baking soda and brush it into your scalp to promote healthy circulation and stimulate the hair roots and scalp. {I’ll do this once per week}. Second, I’ll rinse and use Aphogee Two-Step Protein Treatment. This will be perfect for me because my hair has been damaged by color and relaxer (don’t ask). This is an awesome product which stops hair breakage and rebuilds hair structure {I’ll so this every 4 weeks- too much protein will have adverse effects on the hair}. After rinsing, I’ll dry and massage my scalp with Empress #ReGrow maintenance scalp moisturizer. Followed by applying their #Minoxidil Topical Solution. {Minoxidil is one of the only safe clinically proven chemical solutions to cause hair regrowth} I don’t have significant hair loss however, premature hair loss is hereditary in my family, so in an effort to be proactive, I’m using this solution to promote growth in my crown area. Next, I’ll apply Empress #ReGro Hair Moisturizing Lotion. Each day, I’ll apply a moisturizer. On the days I use Aphogee, I’ll use the balancing moisturizer, and on regular days, I’ll combine my favor it scented oil with my daily moisturizer. I’ll sleep with a satin scarf and pray for the best! Wish me luck guys! #OperationHairGrowth
